Takeda Hamono has been founded more than 80 years ago, and moved to the Niimi City, Okayama Japan Province in 1951.
The current company representative, Shosui Takeda, belongs to the third generation of the family.

The blades are manually forged and made from Super Blue Steel - that keeps the cutting line for a long period and, also, easy to sharpen.

Takeda Hamono Knives are known by the high quality, being much sought-after by the consumers from all over the world.

Cares for the japanese knife

*Please dont try to cut or chop frozen foods and bones . Blades are too hard ,so they can chip. 

*If you buy a carbon steel blade knife , keep it clean and dry after use . Carbon steel knives rust easily.

If you are not going to use it for a long time ,please pass magnolia or olive oil and wrap in a newspaper.

*We recommend the use of whetstones when you are going to sharpening them .

Shipment

We ship from Japan to worldwide.
The clearance takes within 2 to 3 days after the payment confirmation.
The product can be shipped as "gift" if you prefer. Just tell us in advance.
We can ship by Japan Post Small packet (E-packet), economy(SAL) ,standard (EMS) and DHL.
Return policy

If you are not satisfied with the purchased item, we can refund your money back, excluding the shipping, insurance, tariffs, duties and costs.

In order to get a refund, the item has to be sent back to us within 14 days, and in the same condition you received it in.

Pflege und Hinweise für Messer

Vorsicht!

Bitte beachten Sie, dass handgefertigte Messer und Griffe aus natürlichen Materialien individuelle Unterschiede in Form, Verarbeitung und Farbgebung aufweisen können. 

Schneiden Sie keine gefrorenen Lebensmittel oder Knochen mit Messern, die nicht speziell dafür entwickelt wurden. Dies kann erhebliche Schäden an der Klinge verursachen. 

Verwenden Sie keine Spülmaschine zur Reinigung. Dies kann Rost und Schäden am Griff verursachen. 

Lassen Sie das Messer nach Gebrauch nicht verschmutzt liegen. Handwäsche mit einem neutralen Reinigungsmittel und anschließendes Entfernen von Feuchtigkeit ist erforderlich. 

・Kohlenstoffstahlmesser sind extrem anfällig für Rost, daher sollten Sie sie sofort reinigen und trocknen. Tragen Sie beim Lagern Kamelienöl auf die Klinge auf.

・Vermeiden Sie die Verwendung einfacher Schärfer, da diese die Klinge beschädigen können. Wenn Sie sie verwenden müssen, führen Sie bitte eine Wartung mit einem Wetzstein durch.
